Today was the first day of the World Maker Faire held at the New York Hall of Science, and Norma and I were there the whole day and still didn’t see everything. Dremel (the popular maker of hand tools) showed their $1000 printer. Another fabrication process known for many more years is subtractive. Needless to say we will be looking at this in more depth as we help schools think through the design of Maker Spaces where numerous kinds of tools are needed.
